Online training will take place on December 17th and responds to the challenges of collaborative research and education, in the context of the European General Data Protection Regulation.
Federated authentication “requires the sharing of some personal data”. And this data sharing implies compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is the starting point for the webinar hosted by GÉANT on December 17th: Managing one-click access for students, teachers and researchers in the age of GDPR.
Through this training, explains GÉANT, it will be possible to know how data protection requirements are met (such as, for example, data minimalization or the privacy by design), knowing the code of conduct of the various national research and education networks, such as RCTS (Science, Technology and Society Network).
On the other hand, the international organization emphasizes that this is also an opportunity to "offer contributions to this same code of conduct" by sharing suggestions for improvements.
