This digital service from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed through FCCN, is the result of a partnership with the General Secretariat for Education and Science and Public Construction, EPE
The Zeal is a platform that enables organizations, with complete autonomy, to register, manage and monitor processes associated with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
“Zelo allows State bodies complete independence from “proprietary” solutions, often used by external Data Protection Officers.”, adds Artur Gaspar, responsible for this new FCT service, made available through FCCN.
Who is it intended for?
You can join Zelo, at no additional cost, all organizations belonging to the government area of Education and Science, Technology and Higher Education, such as universities and polytechnic institutes, research centers, among others. Membership may be extended to any government agency, by agreement, through the extension of the protocol.
Zelo: helping organizations apply the GDPR
This digital service allows you to record and detail processes that took place within participating organizations, assessing their impact on data protection. It also ensures the recording of requests regarding the exercise of data protection rights and the notification of institutions in the event of a violation of those rights.
Furthermore, Zelo provides a set of GDPR manuals, templates and forms to entities, and has a technical support service (helpdesk).
This service also undertakes to provide sharing between participating entities of updated information on Legislation, Links, Glossary, as well as a Q&A space.
For all these reasons, Zelo ensures compliance with the GDPR principles and purposes, also guaranteeing greater ease of reporting and of personal data processing.
