To date, over 200 participants have registered and are planning to take advantage of the sessions, workshops and learning opportunities. networking at what is the annual meeting point for the various communities of managers and users of advanced communication, computing, data and other digital services platforms provided by the FCCN unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology.
The topic that we have all been following with concern in recent weeks – and which will continue to be followed in the near future – is the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the health and well-being of everyone involved in the Scientific Computing Days 2020 are of the utmost importance to the organization of the event, the evolution of the situation was closely monitored and the official guidelines of the competent entities were regularly consulted: Directorate-General for Health, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization.
Considering the current situation and believing that we all have an important role to play in stopping the spread of this virus, the organization – FCCN Unit and the Polytechnic of Leiria – made the decision to postpone the event.
The new scheduled dates are October 13-15, 2020.
