Polytechnic of Leiria will host the 11th edition of the Scientific Computing Conference, on April 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
After the University of the Azores hosted the Scientific Computing Conference in Ponta Delgada in 2019, Leiria will be the meeting place for the community linked to the services and projects of the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology. The work will take place at Higher School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Leiria – higher education institution that directly supports the eleventh edition of these conferences.
For three days, from April 21st to 23rd, those involved in providing advanced infrastructure and services to the higher education and research community will be able to present the latest news and updates to the user and partner community. Likewise, the program will include several demonstrations, meetings and workshops.
The main target audience of the Scientific Computing Conferences are those responsible for IT, library, documentation or archive services at higher education institutions, as well as managers and those responsible for implementing Science and those responsible for research units.
In 2019, the tenth edition of the Scientific Computing Conference registered 523 registrations, an increase of 5% compared to the 2018 edition.More information will be released soon and registration will open.
