In June, the National Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of the Foundation for Science and Technology returned to in-person operations, following the approved lockdown easing plan. This decision includes the return of services such as the FCCN Studio and other infrastructure. Learn about the conditions under which this return will be implemented.
To protect the health of its employees, subcontractors, and visitors, the FCCN Unit implemented a plan to return to in-person work and updated its Contingency Plan, based on the Deconfinement Plan approved by the Council of Ministers on April 30, 2020. The measures adopted are in addition to the recommendations and information issued by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
FCCN Studio reopens its doors
The return to in-person work also involves the gradual resumption of use of the FCCN Studio. The limited physical footprint of this space requires the implementation of additional safety measures. Therefore, the equipment will be sanitized twice a day or whenever users change (for this purpose, recording sessions will be scheduled at least one-hour apart).
Furthermore, certified masks and gloves are now mandatory for anyone handling studio equipment. During recording, users may remove protective gear, provided they maintain a distance of 4 square meters from technicians in the same space.
Every 20 minutes of stay in the space, a 5-minute break will be taken to refresh the air. At the end of recording takes with the same speaker, this period increases to 20 minutes. Similarly, a limit of two people is established in the video control room and recording studio, and one person in the audio control room. Likewise, only those necessary for recording content will be allowed in the studio.
