2022 edition of the programme to stimulate innovation within the community of national research and education networks has applications open until February 28.

Following the success of the first edition, GÉANT launched the 2022 edition of the G ÉANT Innovation Programme on 11 January. Once again, the initiative sets aside€300,000 of funding for specific projects carried out by its community - the European national research and education networks, as well as the entities they serve (universities, research institutes, among others).

Applications are open until 28 February, and each project can receive funding of up to 30,000 euros, for a maximum duration of execution of 9months. The programme is open to all areas of knowledge involved in the GÉANT community such as cybersecurity, education, networks or cloud technologies.

The 2021 edition of the GÉANT Innovation Programme is highlighted as a success by GÉANT, following the award of funding to 10 projects run in countries such as Hungary, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK. Networks, Multimedia, Education, Privacy and Security are some of the areas in which these projects fall, which you can find out more about on the GÉANT website.

We would like to have Portugal among the funded projects, if you belong to the RCTS Community and if you have an idea, contact us to put it into practice.

GÉANT provides an application script and timeline detailing the deadlines involved.
